A Journey into the Timeless Charm of La Dolce Vita – A Tribute to Marcello Mastroianni

On December 12, 2024, at the Allgemeine Lesegesellschaft Basel, we celebrated a truly special event: a tribute to the legendary Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni, on the occasion of his 100th birthday.

Thanks to the Marcello Geppetti Archive, our guests had the chance to immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of 1960s Rome, the era of La Dolce Vita. Through an exclusive selection of photographs, we rediscovered iconic moments from Mastroianni’s career, both on the big screen and in his more intimate and everyday life. These images captured not only elegance and charm but also the vibrant energy of a city that has shaped the history of international cinema.
